Jonathan recently returned from a speaking engagement at the True North Conference  hosted by Redleaf Ministries in Kelowna, BC.  His son, David accompanied him. It was a powerful time.  He made many new friends and rekindled old relationships.  People were truly on board as he shared about building relationships and understanding our First Nations people.  Some really wonderful words were spoken over both David and Jonathan and they are looking forward to what the future holds.

Tomorrow, the members of Broken Walls are flying to California for a few days working among the young people of California and Arizona.  We look forward to a good report of their time there.

Broken Walls has dates available during the months of December, January and February.  If you would like them to come to your area, please contact the office at office@brokenwalls.com to make arrangements.  We would love to hear from you.

Broken Walls at LifeLight, Worthing, SD

On Labour Day Weekend, Broken Walls had an amazing time at LifeLight for the second year in a row.  This free-admission Christian music festival has attendance of up to 300,000 people and Broken Walls was blessed to be asked to return for this year.  They played on both the Main Stage and the Triple Shot Cafe which is a joy and a privilege since most artists don't get to play twice during one weekend.  Dancers were able to join them from Virginia, Pine Ridge and Oklahoma.  It was a great time of dancing and message in song.  The dancers got the people up to join them and there were many great comments.  There were many who really loved the worship.

The next day, Broken Walls ministered at an event at McKennan Park in Sioux Falls.  This event was to bring awareness of the many services within the community to help with the many needs of those who are struggling both spiritually and financially.  There was a great turnout and many joined in the dancing.  To read a newspaper article concerning this event, go to http://m.argusleader.com/voices/article?a=2012309040013&f=710

Broken Walls will finish up the tour in Wagner and White Clay / Pine Ridge reservation with school assemblies and more community concerts.  We look forward to a wonderful report concerning all of these events and we hope that there is a great turnout.

Broken Walls Alberta Tour 2012

Broken Walls just recently completed a ground-breaking tour of Alberta, both in the south near Edmonton and in the far north, where they experienced a wonderful move of God wherever they went.  They ministered to school children both on and off the reservations sharing the "Commit to Life" presentations, music, concerts and established relationships with elders and many others along the way.

They also opened up understanding to the non-native people in the region to the beauty of their First Nations people.

Bill and Jonathan did a presentation to a 1st grade class.  This went very well.  The teacher said that this is most attentive that they have ever been and many now want to be a drummer.

It was a very exhausting trip because there was much to do and many miles traveled but it was a great success and Broken Walls looks forward to a future trip back to the region.

At the end of this month, Bill and Kris will be coming to Tyendinaga.  They will be leading worship in Jonathan's home church, Desert Stream Christian Fellowship in Belleville and spending the rest of the week working on recording a new album which we hope is released soon.  For more information on the worship service at our church, please email (office@brokenwalls.com) or call our office (613-396-1954) for more information.

Broken Walls in Alaska

Broken Walls are currently in Alaska. We have played 3 times already - twice at Northgate in Wasilla and once last night for the Emerge conference.

It was great to see native people set free. It was good to see Richard Twiss, Dan Moseley, Mary Glazier and many other old friends.

We are seeing the results of all the effort that we have put in over the years to see our First Nations people embrace who they are in Jesus.

We are heading for the airplanes this morning for our first assembly along the Iditarod Trail. It is really wonderful to have my son along for the trip. I know that God is working. Thank you to all who helped make it possible for him to com.

Warm regards, Jonathan Maracle

Broken Walls Iditarod Outreach 2012

Broken Walls and Carry the Cure are once again launching out on their annual Iditarod Outreach. They will be in Alaska from March 3rd to the 12th. Before they start the journey on the Iditarod Trail, they will be at Northgate church in Wasilla on the 4th for both morning services and will be ministering at the Emerge Conference being held at Skyline Fellowship in Anchorage on the 5th.

These are pictures from a previous Iditarod tour.

For the Iditarod Outreach, this year they have added another village and will be extending their time in a couple of villages. They will visit McGrath on the 6th, Kaltag on the 7th, Shaktoolik on the 8th, Golovin on the 9th, Unalakleet on the 10th and Nome on the 11th and 12th. This is quite an undertaking as they have to charter two planes to carry all of their food, supplies, equipment and personal items. At each village along the way, they will be doing school assemblies and community concerts. If you live in the area, please come out and visit with them. They would love to meet you.
